Process to Send Money Through UPI for NRIs

For NRIs wishing to send money through UPI, the process is straightforward yet secure. After setting up their UPI ID, they can initiate a transaction by opening their UPI app and selecting the 'Send Money' option. The next step involves entering the recipient's UPI ID or linked mobile number. NRIs can then enter the amount to be transferred, along with a remark for the transaction, if desired. Upon confirming the details, they'll be prompted to enter their UPI PIN, which authorizes and secures the transaction.
The money is transferred instantly, and both sender and receiver are notified. This process eliminates traditional banking hassles, such as waiting for NEFT/RTGS processing times. UPI's 24/7 availability means NRIs can send money at their convenience, regardless of time zone differences. It's important to note that while UPI itself doesn't charge a fee, banks might impose nominal charges, and currency conversion rates may apply for NRIs using Indian accounts to transfer money internationally.
